Turbo works and the quality looks acceptable, however the product is NOT truly plug-and-play for Mazda CX-7 MZR DISI as advertised.
Installation required significant modifications:
oil return line did not fit properly,
custom machining/fabrication was needed,
some supplied fittings/bolts did not match correctly,
additional drilling/adaptation was required during installation.
My workshop spent much more time than expected adapting the turbo to fit correctly.
If you buy this turbo, be prepared for custom work and additional installation costs.
In my opinion this should be clearly mentioned in the product description instead of presenting it as direct-fit replacement for CX-7.

I love the fact that its’s the only bypass valve that comes with optional springs, no one else offers this. Installation is the same as the other bypass valves, took me less than 1hr to install. Great quality and love the sound it produces. I’m currently using the Medium spring rated at 15-25lbs.
The turbo is top notch. Billet wheel, perfect fitment! Looks wicked. Will update when I get the car running, but fit and finish at this point is top notch. 1987 Conquest Tsi
Gives very good spool with ar .49 turbine housing but it restricts the engine faster than I hoped for. At the dyno we got 380 hp with ej207 also had some other minor restrictions but the main reason was the housing being too restrictive. Trying to replace with 0,73ar housing for better results.

Very good and durable turbo!!! The wastegate is a bit wide and the Mazda MPS 3-6 heater pipe is also worn because of this, the spring in it is difficult to replace. The Mamba is a little better. The oil line in the kit cannot be used because the screw is not suitable for it. The delivery is delayed for more than a week for the second time. Delivery to Hungary is 200 dollars, but to Slovakia it is free within 10 km.
Turbo arrived at my address in Japan super quick. Loved the fact that I didn’t have to pay any import fees. Turbo is well made and is working better than expected. Fast spool with 264 Cams and 800cc injectors. Thanks
The adapter for the block to oil feed was incorrect thread pitch. So far with tuning the internal wastegate is needing a ton of wgdc. But other than that awesome turbo
This looks to be a clone of the killer bee holy header, except 304ss vs 321. I am yet to install and tune, still running the ssi/kinugawa el header. All the welds appear to be good. I must admit, the main differences between the holy header and this one aside from the alloy used are 1) the mandrel bends don't appear to be true mandrel at all. There's noticeable i.d differences where the bends are. 2) the flanges are magnetic, meaning they aren't 304 and likely another 4 series alloy. Not a huge deal, but I am disappointed in the bends.
Excellent and reasonable price especially the tax paid ahead DHL .Best after sale service , fixing the CHRA was a challenge but with Kinugawa support , instructions and also reshipping free headless hex M12 as a replacement of the 2 water coolant seal bolts witch was interfering with the coolant pipes via DHL in 3 days made the job easy .my turbo works like new , my 850 T5 power restored . I am very impressed with the product and I will definitely buy from this great company when needed.
I did a custom application turbo. I needed help sorting out the housings. They were awesome with helping me figure out what I needed. Turbo looks and performs better than I expected for the price. Shipping was very fast. I think it was about 5 days from Taiwan to rural Utah. I will buy from them again
With stock engine STS version is a great solution for spool and power, very funny, good qualiy. In my opinion need a better canister waste gate
The stock iHi turbo in my 04 Mazdaspeed MX-5 unfortunately developed an oil leak and had to be replaced. I went with the Kinugawa turbo because of the fact that it doesnt require me to swap out the exhaust manifold & the Flying Miata downpipe /exhaust. The supplied Kinugawa hardware didnt fit. Had to fabricate & improvise. The Kinugawa turbo sits further back than the stock iHi turbo causing some fitment issues with the exhaust downpipe & cat. Beyond that, the installation was fine. The tune shop who did the installation was able to dyno tune my Mazdaspeed MX-5 to 230HP w/ 230TRQ which is perfect for a daily Miata w/ stock engine internals.
Its only been installed for about 50 miles and so far so good. Im hopeful that it will last. We shall see *fingers crossed*
