Kinugawa Turbo 3" TD06SL2-25G — Direct-Fit Upgrade for Mitsubishi 4G63T

The Kinugawa TD06SL2-25G is a purpose-built performance turbocharger for the Mitsubishi 4G63T engine platform. Featuring a 3" anti-surge or non-anti-surge compressor housing and a 7cm (AR.49) or 8cm (AR.57) turbine housing with Mitsubishi single-scroll inlet and 4-bolt outlet, this turbo targets 400–500+ whp on EVO 1–3, DSM 1G/2G, and Eclipse GST/GSX builds.

⚠ Important: The 3" compressor housing requires modification to your intake system or coolant tubes for proper fitment.

Vehicle Application

  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 1, 2, 3 (4G63T)
  • Mitsubishi Galant VR-4
  • DSM 1G & 2G — 1990–1999 Eclipse GST / GSX
  • 1990–1998 Eagle Talon TSi
  • 1990–1994 Plymouth Laser RS

CHRA / Core Specification

  • CHRA Size: TD06SL2-25G

25G vs. 60-1 Flow Comparison

The Mitsubishi TD06-25G flows approximately 64 lb/min at its peak, making it capable of supporting roughly 600-640 HP. In contrast, the Garrett-style 60-1 compressor typically flows around 56-58 lb/min, supporting up to 560-580 HP. While both are legendary "old school" powerhouses, the 25G offers a higher ceiling for peak mass airflow and total power output.

Technical Breakdown: Mass Airflow & Performance

Feature TD06-25G (Mitsubishi Style) 60-1 (Garrett T-Series Style)
Peak Flow (lb/min) ~64 lb/min ~57 lb/min
Max HP Potential 600 - 650 HP 550 - 580 HP
Inducer Diameter ~60.5 mm ~59 mm
Exducer Diameter ~78 mm ~76 mm
Efficiency Focus High pressure ratios Mid-range flow efficiency

The 25G is a favorite for those running higher boost levels, as Mitsubishi compressor maps often show better stability at pressure ratios above 2.5 (about 22+ psi). The 60-1 is a classic "big wing" compressor; it flows a lot of air at lower pressures but can lose efficiency quickly if pushed into high-boost territory.

Compressor Wheel Options

  • Cast 6+6 blades — 60.5 / 78 mm — balanced spool and mid-range power
  • Billet 6+6 blades — 60.5 / 78 mm — enhanced low-end torque
  • Billet 11+0 blades — 60.5 / 78 mm — optimized for top-end power

Turbine Wheel Options

  • 11 Blades STD — 54 / 61 mm — standard flow, proven reliability
  • 9 Blades STS — 54 / 61 mm — Superior Turbine Strike: lighter, faster spool
  • 10 Blades STS 55 — 54 / 61 mm — STS Extreme: maximum high-RPM flow
